MBP is the best climbing gym around. Quality facility with good setting and a high route turnover. Lots of training options and classes too. Not a rope climbing gym, but for bouldering it’s really good. Hot sauna rounds out a climbing session pretty well. Staff has been friendly and helpful too.

My partner and I visited MBP as we are members of the Seattle Bouldering Project and we brought my 3 little nieces. The staff, in particular Will, was so kind and helpful! This facility is nice and so spacious! We felt the routes were a tiny bit harder than home but we had a great time overall!

Great routes. Plenty of skill levels to progress through. Great place to bring your teenage cousins from out of town (country actually). Love the ability to take a shower and sauna after a good climbing sesh!

I've been climbing here since they opened. They went from a local company to a more corporate vibe with many Bouldering Projects across the country.

Atmosphere: 5/5, great place to get some work done on the mezzanine, staff is always lovely, vibes are great

Setting: 3/5 if you're just getting started, it can be pretty hard. The green, purple, and black circuits (V1 - V3, V2 - V4, and V4 - V6 respectively) all have great movement and are probably on the harder end of their V ranges, but overall are good. The orange circuit (V3 - V5) is a mess, so expect to either flash or never send. Beyond that the blues, pinks, and whites are (V5 - V7, V6 - V8, V8 +) are all hard, but from what I can tell they're good if you climb that hard.

Community: 6/5, lots of really cool people climb here and the community is pretty welcoming of all skill ranges from what I can tell. Say hi and people will say hi back and usually engage with you on whatever you're climbing.

I would give it 6 stars if I could. Such a well-organized, beautiful looking place with friendly staff and clean amenities. We are beginner climbers who were visiting with young kids; all of us enjoyed the climbs and left wanting to return. The rates are reasonable and they were very accommodating with our family's needs.

They raised the monthly costs three times since I had my membership in 2022. $90 a month feels over-priced. This place is consistently over-crowed, particularly on weekday nights. You can’t really train here but if you want to stand next to four people waiting for the same route or to use gym equipment, than this is the place for you. Seriously, there's never any parking and I wish it was an understatement. If you can bike, there’s usually spots on the posts. Staff is polite and likable but totally unhelpful. Oh and if you have a kid younger than 14 with you and they don’t stay in the back, they yell at you. You're better off going to VE because at least you have multiple locations with a membership. I would blow that $90 on a gym you can actually use.

I've been coming for almost 5 years! But...
1. the recent monthly fee raise to $90 with no signs of an expansion or second location despite the HUGE demand in the area
2. insane overcrowding both in the parking lot (I've started having to pay for parking at nearby park...), and the climbing space (lots of children running everywhere or new climbers who are climbing very unsafely)

means I've had to quit. This sucks though, I really loved the place for so long...

I’ve been climbing at MBP with friends for a few years. It’s always a fun experience, no matter your skill level. I’ve gone with friends who have never climbed and friends who have been climbing their whole life.
The gym is clean, large, and has a nice range of difficulty. The environment is relaxed and not judgmental at all.
If you’re interested in bouldering, definitely check this place out! 🙂
